Quarantine is undoubtedly becoming a defining period of the 21st century. Today, this concept determines the way of life for most people throughout the world. We constantly hear reminders of the vital necessity of "social distance", "self-isolation", "means of protection and disinfection." These "necessities" have changed the usual lifestyle of many people in all its forms. Everyone has to adapt: business, politics, culture, legislation, healthcare, science, economics, education, and infrastructure.

The church was no exception, and we also became a part of these global processes convulsing the world.

In a pandemic and forced quarantine restrictions, the church faced the need to review many seemingly unbreakable traditions in its daily activities. Changes in living conditions led to the search for new forms of service, as well as the opportunity to see what in the old, “normal” conditions had been hidden, but requiring changes. We have yet to reflect on what is happening in our church life today and draw conclusions in order to learn to better understand our God, do His will and reveal His glory in the world.

The requirements of self-isolation and social distance have increased attention to the capabilities of modern information technologies. Media ministry has become an effective connecting bridge for church communities both within - for more active communication, and for external evangelism. We went the way which we used little “yesterday and the day before." In many ways, this turned out to be completely new to us.

We thank God for these blessings that are new to us. I am grateful to all the members of our ministry team and I am glad that I can serve alongside them and learn from them fidelity, sacrifice, and love for the Lord and His Church. We are grateful to the pastors of the churches who take care of us and give us the necessary guidance. We thank everyone who supports us with prayers and finances. You are all partners in this media ministry, a ministry for the Church of God and His glory!

BeLightBC media ministry was originally conceived as a regional media platform for serving a small group of churches. We are glad that today it has become much wider and has gone beyond the borders of not only the region but also the country. But this requires much more effort and investment, hardware, and software are needed. Team members learn, acquire new skills so that the fruits of our ministry are better, more diverse. At the same time, each of them remains concerned about their families in quarantine life. We have good ideas for new projects. Help us realize them. Support our ministry!

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
